Mittu and Mohtu are two best friends who lived in beautiful villages nearby. Mittu loves to stay home while Mohtu loves to play out with her friends. The thing that united Mittu and Mohtu is their love towards Foooooooooooddddddddd! One fine day Mittu told Mohtu a story he once heard from his grandparents. It was about a great dish that the Malabar’s make. In a faraway kingdom, in the land of seashells there lived a group of people who are well known for their culinary skills. As soon as Mittu started his narration, Mohtu fantasized it in her own world.

Mittu and Mohtu Adventure

The Biriyani Dream:

“Malabar people are expertise in making biryani.  Half cup of ghee and the sliced onions are sauteed till it reaches golden brown. Once the other ingredients are added you will be able to feel its fragrance. To this cleaned chicken, turmeric and biryani masala are added. The specialty of this dish is the biryani masala which is made from a unique blend of Kerala spices. The almost melt-in-your-mouth meat and soft, fluffy rice are a result of hours of keeping them on dum, which is a technique where a vessel is sealed, usually with a strip of dough, and heated from both the top as well as underneath. This gives a flavored chicken gravy to which the rice is added. Unlike other biryani basmati rice is not used.”

Mittu and Mohtu started drooling and decided to taste it once. But it wasn’t easy for them to go to that kingdom. They have to cross a magical village to reach there. They had a great desperation to taste the dish, so they decided to face any hurdles. One fine day they packed their bags and left the village without any notice. After hours of travelling, they stepped in to the magical village. Mohtu raised her head to read the welcome board which stated “Queensland welcomes you”. It is believed that the queens made up of magic and stardust lived there. It is also believed that some still live there. They started walking and was spellbound on seeing things happening around them. Splashing waters where children slid and played without getting drenched, people who travel in air, musical garden and much more.

Mittu and Mohtu Journey:

While they were walking Mohtu happened to stampede on something moving and screamed out of fear. She quickly covered herself behind Mittu and held his hand tightly. Both of them looked down and observed the creature that was moving. It was small and had a body of a leaf and a face just like humans. Both Mittu and Mohtu startled when they heard the creature speak. It was surreal.”Who are you?”, enquired the creature. Mittu and mohtu couldn’t utter a word as they were still shocked. They were still gazing at the little creature without even moving their eyeballs. “Who are you?” repeated the creature with a demanding voice. Mittu abruptly regained his senses and told it their story. While mohtu still was taken back by the fascinations happening around her.

The Helping Hand :

The small creature smiled at them and introduced itself to them. ” Hi,I’m zippy. I can help you cross this village. But on one condition.” Mohtu asked zippy about his condition. He replied that they have to take him along. If they agree, zippy assured to help them cross the village. Mittu and mohtu happily agreed to zippy’s condition. All the three started their travel. Zippy explained them about the two gates that they need to cross to cross that village. In order to open the first gate, they need to find it’s key which is hidden in a pirate ship. Zippy directed them towards the pirate ship. As they headed forward, zippy suddenly halted and pointed his finger towards his right. Mittu and Mohtu gave a bizarre look as it was a empty ground guarded by two weird creatures. With the puzzled look still on their face, they asked zippy ” what is that about? “. Zippy replied,” that’s where the first key is hidden”.

Mittu: But you told it is hidden in a pirate ship.
Zippy: yeah, the ship is there in the ground.
Mohtu: But we couldn’t see it.
Zippy: It is invisible. Only if you dare to touch the dogs that guards it, it will be visible to your eyes.
Mohtu: Are they even dogs? It has two heads and two tails.
Zippy: yup, they are. They have given magical powers to guard the key. On seeing there ferocious look people usually won’t dare to go near them. As soon as you touch them they will be transformed to normal dogs.

Chasing The Dream:

Based on zippy’s instruction, mittu and mohtu headed towards the strange creature. Mohtu was scared to hell but she somehow mustered courage and walked with mittu. When they came near to the creature it started to scream and jumped with it’s front legs nearing their face. Mittu holded it’s front legs and instantly the monster changed into a golden fur dog. Now it’s turn for mohtu to touch the another one. Mohtu’s hands and legs were trembling in fear. Mittu made her calm by holding her hands and asked her to take a deep breath. Finally Mittu lifted her right-hand and placed it on the monster’s head. To their surprise, the dogs spoke. They introduced themselves as Google and Honey. Mittu enquired about the key and the pirate ship to Google. Google led the way to the ground and somewhere from air the ship appeared. Honey told them where exactly the key is placed. Mohtu dragged the key and all the five moved towards the first gate and opened it.

Kingdom Of Seashells:

Zippy started explaining them about the second gate. The key to the second gate is hidden inside the dragon’s mouth. In order to obtain the key, they must fly the dragon. The dragon was ten feet long,  red in color with a long tail and was caged behind large metal bars. Google and Honey helped them to unlock the cage. Mittu and mohtu waited above the cage so that once the cage is unlocked they quickly hopped in to the dragon’s body. The dragon felt some hindrance in his body. Annoyed he flip his wings and tried. As soon as he flied, mittu grabbed the key from it’s mouth. It landed them at the second gate and all the five of them had together unlocked the two gates and found way out of the magical village. That’s how they travelled across the magical village to reach the kingdom of seashells to taste the most delectable Malabar biriyani.
